"Red October"

Description

The unit was formed in the first days of the war in the Oktyabrsky region of Belarus as a defensive guerrilla detachment, which grew into a destruction battalion. In July 1941, the destruction battalion was reorganized into the Red October guerrilla detachment. It participated in the Polesie region, destroying enemy strongholds, police stations and small garrisons in the villages of the Oktyabrsky and Glussky districts, and by the end of the year it liberated them from the occupiers. Guerrillas specialize in carrying out combat missions behind enemy lines, can move freely across territory captured by the enemy and carry more TNT charges. Their goal is the destruction of enemy equipment, communications and manpower. Guerrillas carry spare cartridges for different weapons, so the weapons picked up on the battlefield have more ammunition.
