Pz.IV H

Description

Pz.IV H - The Ausf.H series was produced from April 1943 to May 1944. During this time, 3,960 (according to other sources, 3,935) tanks of this series were built. The thickness of the frontal armor increased to 80 mm, the Zahnradfabrik ZF SSG77 gearbox was installed on the tank, to unify with the Pz.III tanks, an anti-aircraft machine gun appeared on the commander's turret, and the tank hulls were coated with zimmerite from the factory, which prevents the installation of magnetic mines. Also, the tanks of this series have received a lot of other, smaller improvements and upgrades.
