Description
Developed in 1941 by Sergei Simonov, it is a semi-auto carbine chambered for a 7.62x54R mm rifle cartridge with an integral 5-round magazine. The SKS-31 was much lighter than the Tokarev rifle, and it also showed good results in terms of durability and reliability.
