Real person
Named after / based on: Иван Иосифович Долганов (Iwan Iossifowitsch Dolganow)
A possible namesake is Ivan Dolganov (1923-1956), a Red Army gun commander in an anti-tank artillery regiment who fought in Lithuania in July 1944 and was made Hero of the Soviet Union in 1945. The surname matches, but the first name and the assaulter class do not, so this is only a tentative match.
This match is not confirmed, the name may be a coincidence.
