Named after / based on: John Patrick Kenneally
A possible namesake is John Kenneally (1921-2000), an Irish Guards soldier who received the Victoria Cross as a lance-corporal for charging an enemy force alone with his Bren gun at Djebel Bou Aoukaz in Tunisia on 28 April 1943. He was born Leslie Jackson and served under an assumed name. The surname is almost identical but the first name differs, so this is only a tentative match.
This match is not confirmed, the name may be a coincidence.
