Four battles at BR2 ended in two wins and two losses, but the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. The main event was the German invasion on Gorge. The team put up 145 kills, 9 vehicles, 55 assists and 59 zone points, and it still ended in defeat. It wasn't for lack of effort. The 50mm cannon worked through an M24, an M13 MGMC and an A13 MK II, while the infantry used TNT charges to take out an M2A4 and a second M13 MGMC.
Defense went much better. Japan held Gavutu North with 124 kills and took the win. The Type 4 AT Rifle was the standout, knocking out both a "Grant" and a Daimler Mk II. The Soviets also held Heilongjang Airport, helped by a successful artillery strike and a Ta-Se destroyed by the T-28E's 76mm gun.
The wildest moment came from a loss. On Munda Point Laiana, the P-40-E pilot brought down an A5M4 with 12.7mm fire and a mid-air crash to finish it. The match was lost, but that play is the one everyone will be talking about.
