Four battles, all fought for the Allies, and a perfectly even 2-2 split by the end of the day. The 3rd of October was anything but boring. It kicked off at BR5 on Sword Beach, where one of the day's standout moments happened: a Machine Gunner of all people took out a Panzer Tiger H1 with a TNT charge. With 57 kills and 22 zone points, the invasion ended in a victory, and there was even time for a classic "Oh shit you're an enemy?" moment along the way.
Omaha Beach at BR3 didn't go nearly as well. Even with 74 kills and a solid 37 zone points, the offensive ended in defeat.
Then came the real showpiece: Gare de Saint-Lo South at BR2. In this Confrontation the German armor got dismantled piece by piece. Two Panzer II Cs, a Panzer III E and a Panzer III J all went up in smoke thanks to Explosion Packs and TNT. The result was 76 kills, 5 vehicles destroyed, a massive 190,377 EXP and 20,755 silver, easily the most rewarding match of the day.
The finale was a defensive stand at BR1 on Munda Trail Bibilo Hill. That's where the day's best numbers came in: 120 kills, 64 zone points and a total score of 7,630, plus a Ha-Go and a Ta-Se blown apart. It still ended in a painful defeat, but the stats show this one was fought to the very last trench.
