Battle Report #188

Four battles, three wins and 319 kills: Hepheisto's Soviet campaign on September 27 had a bit of everything.

It opened at BR5 on Lehrter Bahnhof, where a Conquest match turned into a slaughter. Assaulters carrying the AS-44, PPD-40 and the event Thompson 100 racked up 114 kills and 29 assists, and the 36,375 XP made it the most rewarding round of the day. Victory.

The real showstopper came at BR3 on Left Bank. In an Invasion offensive, a Radio Operator looked up and dropped a Bf 110 F-2 with a single SVT-38 shot from the ground. That's the kind of clip you rewatch. Not to be outdone, a soldier on a 25mm AA cannon took out a Bf 110 C-7, and the Yak-3 "6" pilot downed an Fw 190 A-4 with the 12.7mm MG. The Luftwaffe had a rough afternoon, and the Soviets took another win.

Tractor Plant at BR2 was the painful one. Despite 120 kills, 74 zone points and an Anti-Tank gunner cracking a Panzer III J with an explosive pack, the Confrontation slipped away in defeat. Numbers like that usually win games, but this time they didn't.

The day ended on a high note at BR1 in The Voskhod Settlement. An Engineer and an Assaulter each blew up a Panzer II C with explosive packs, and the Destruction offensive went down as victory number three.
