October 7th delivered a BR3 session worth talking about: four battles, three victories and a combined 349 kills.
The day opened with the Allies storming Omaha Beach in Confrontation. It ended in defeat, but nobody can say the squad didn't fight for it: 93 kills and the day's highest total score of 8041. The P-39Q-5 pilot dropped a 500 lb bomb right onto a Panzer IV F1, while a machine gunner took out an Sd. Kfz. 251/1 along with its squad using a TNT charge.
Then came the real headline. Defending Moat West with Germany, the anti-tank crew turned the map into a tank graveyard. Three KV-1 (L-11)s went down to the Anti Tank Gunners, two to the Panzerfaust 60 and one to an Explosion Pack. Add a Universal Carrier wiped out with its squad, plus a T-50 that an Engineer finished off with TNT, and you get 107 kills and a well-earned victory.
Japan kept the streak going at Heilongjang Airport with a tighter win, which included a Medic taking out a T-70 with an Explosion Pack.
The Soviets closed things out in The Maisky Forestry: 109 kills, two StuG III Fs destroyed and a massive haul of 96,779 EXP and 10,495 silver. What a way to finish!
